Course Description:

This course is aimed to help healthcare professionals understand their duty to prescribe safely, ethically, and effectively. It covers topics including prescribing responsibilities, avoiding common errors, refrain from self-prescribing or prescribing for family or friends, and following regulatory standards from organisations like the GMC, NMC, GPhC. You will learn how to prescribe for vulnerable groups, manage high-risk medications, and respect cultural and language differences in patient care. The course focuses on patient-centred approaches, accountability, and handling fitness-to-practise concerns. Through reflective practice and using Personal Development Plans (PDPs), you will strengthen your prescribing skills, ensure patient safety, and maintain professional standards.
